How to Check Admission Status

If you’re a student applying for admission to UNT, you may want to check your admission status. It’s easy to do!

You can check your application status online by using your UT EID and password. You’ll receive an email with your UT EID and password within 2-3 days of submitting your Common App or ApplyTexas application.

1. Log into MyUNT

When you complete an application for admission to UNT, you will receive a UNT ID and password. These two items will provide you with access to your student account and allow you to check your admission status online.

You can check your admission status by logging into MyUNT and going to the “Student Center/Register” tile on the right hand side of your screen. This page is where you can access your personal information, register for classes, pay tuition, apply for financial aid and more.

Once you have logged into MyUNT, you can also use the “View Your Enrollment” tile to see your current class schedule and enroll in classes. This is a great way to get started with your courses before you come to campus!

During First Flight Week and Spring Soar, you will have the opportunity to meet your academic advisors and tour the campus. This is a great opportunity to get to know your new school and meet others who are coming to UNT for the first time!

If you are a transfer student or an incoming freshman, you will need to provide proof that you have met the University’s published admission standards. This may include taking the SAT or ACT, or submitting an official high school transcript.

Please contact the Admissions Office if you have any questions or concerns about your application. The Admissions Office will be happy to answer your questions and help you complete the process.

Students who apply as a freshman or transfer must pay the application fee by the priority dates listed on the UNT website. This fee is not required for UNT Alumni Association members or graduate students.

Incoming freshmen and transfers must submit a copy of their meningococcal meningitis vaccination (MMV) record to the admissions office before the priority date or by the first day of the semester in which you will be enrolled. International students may need to show evidence of a recent TB screening before being admitted.

UNT’s Student email, EagleConnect, is the official UNT email for students. This is a secure email service that uses your UPN as a user ID and password. It’s an important tool to use to communicate with faculty and staff. The webmail system is supported by many browsers and requires only a UPN and password to access your emails.

2. Go to the Student Center/Register

Once you have submitted your application, you can check its status at the Student Center/Register. This is a great way to find out how long it will take for your application to be processed.

The Student Center/Register is a web-based tool that enables students to search for classes, register for courses, pay fees and view their account balance. It also provides students with a quick and easy way to make changes to their class requests.

Log in using your MEID and password to access the Student Center/Register. You can also do this from the home page of the college where you want to register.

After you have logged in, you will need to select “Admissions.” This will take you to the admission status page of your application. You can see the date it was received, the current status and any outstanding documents that need to be submitted.

Once you have your admission status, it is important to start choosing classes for the semester. You can use DARS Scheduler to plan your course load in advance of your enrollment appointment. It is also a good idea to consult with your advisor when you are selecting courses.

You can also use Student Center/Register to add, drop or swap courses during the pre-enrollment and add/drop periods. You can log in as many times as you like, 24 hours a day, to adjust your requests.

The class you choose will affect your academic record and will ultimately determine whether or not you will receive credit for a particular course. It’s recommended that you choose a class that is a good fit for your career and major.

To learn more about your class choices, read the classes and enrollment FAQs or meet with your advisor before selecting your schedule of classes. You can also consult with the Registrar’s Office for assistance in planning your schedule.

It is also a good idea to review the registration messages on your class list to ensure that you have a seat in all of the classes you wish to take. This will ensure that you get the best possible experience while attending South Suburban College.

3. Select the “Admissions” tab

Students who have submitted an application for admission can check the status of their applications by selecting the “Admissions” tab in MyUNT. This is the central web location for student services at UNT, including access to online registration, financial aid information and unofficial transcripts. Using your EUID, one-time PIN and permanent password, you can log into MyUNT to see the status of all of your admissions applications. You may also update your name and graduation date, if needed, by completing the form at Update My Personal Information.

For new undergraduate students who will be under 22 years old by the start of their first semester, a copy of the initial meningococcal meningitis vaccine must be uploaded to MyUNT prior to enrolling for classes. This requirement applies to all new undergraduate students enrolled in a program at UNT.

4. Click “View Admission Holds”

Students who have successfully been admitted to UNT can check their admission status by clicking “View Admission Holds” in MyUNT. This is one of the many features of MyUNT, which is the University of North Texas’ central web location for students to access their personal and academic information. The site also allows students to pay tuition via credit card, request financial aid and access unofficial transcripts among other services. To make the most of the site, it’s recommended that you use a chrome browser (available on most PCs) to see the entire site. You can also select the options icon on your phone’s browser and change the view from mobile to desktop.
